Project “OPENING THE WORLD OF THEATER FOR POPULATIONS IGNORED BY THE CULTURAL OFFER AND PARTICIPATION IN BORDER AND CONFLICT ZONES”.
Winner of the Competitive Funds of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage (Ecuador) 2018- 2019.
The Project focused on contributing to the formation of audiences, in the border province of Carchi, promoting attendance to the Theater, through the presentation of the professional and large format clown play: “ Abriendo mundos o conversaciones entre la neblina perfecta y un Rayo de Luna ” aimed at populations ignored from the map of supply and cultural participation, socializing this programming through neighborhoods, parishes, peripheral educational units; as well as specialized education units and organizations of displaced persons, refugees, and people in a situation of human mobility, thus promoting diversity and inclusion. As well as generating an alternative of effective participation of this population, through which we sought to generate a meaningful and satisfying experience that awakens their interest in cultural events of this nature and in the future the willingness to repeat.
At the end of the project, we feel that it is fundamental in the region, the need to develop concrete cultural policies that promote continuity, through which processes of audience formation, artistic training processes and cultural participation are generated. The inclusion of the marginalized population in cultural proposals and offers is extremely necessary to manifest and express ourselves as the social beings that we are, either personally or as a community.
